Youll have the ability to work with students from Pre-K to 12th grade, including specific grade bands (K5, 68, 912), and use your skills in special education to adapt instruction in core subjects as well as mathematics. This is a fantastic chance to expand your professional repertoire while building meaningful relationships with students and school staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience with a range of grade levels, from early childhood to high school preferred
- Strong background in modifying curriculum and instruction for diverse learners, including in math
- Ability to create inclusive learning environments
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Up-to-date knowledge of IEPs, student assessments, and individualized goal setting
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Foster positive classroom management and inclusive practices
- Utilize data-driven instruction to support student achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Engage families and guardians in the educational process
- Track and report student progress and adapt strategies as necessary
