Seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher for a contract position near San Leandro, CA!   • Valid teaching credential in Special Education

  • Deep understanding of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and compliance
  • Skills in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and parents/guardians
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying needs, especially in Math

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide instruction across a variety of grade levels: Kindergarten through 12th grade, including both Math and general curriculum areas
  • Create and manage an engaging, structured classroom environment
  • Assess and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each student's unique learning goals
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and compliance-related activities
