Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience or strong interest in teaching across various grade levels, including Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong background in adapting math and core curriculum for students with differing abilities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Passion for promoting inclusion and supporting students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction that accommodates students at multiple grade levels, including foundational math concepts
- Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Integrate differentiated strategies and accommodations in classroom settings
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining clear documentation
- foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure holistic student support
