Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Experience supporting diverse learners across grade levels, from Early Childhood through High School
- Strong background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for a range of ages and skillsets, including Math instruction
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons for students with varying needs from Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12
- Create a supportive and accessible classroom atmosphere tailored to the developmental level of each group
- Conduct assessments, track student progress, and adjust learning plans as needed
- Develop and manage IEPs, ensuring goals are individualized and regularly monitored
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student growth
- Attend team meetings, professional development sessions, and relevant school functions
