Job Description

A full-time Special Education RSP (Resource Specialist Program) Specialist position is available at an elementary school in Union City, California. This contract assignment runs through May 22, 2026, offering the opportunity to work onsite during regular school hours, from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of up to 28 elementary students across two school sites (to be determined)
  • Provide direct special education services tailored to individual needs
  • Conduct assessments for IEP eligibility and triennial reviews
  • Oversee IEP case management to ensure compliance and effective support plans
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to optimize student outcomes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Teaching Credential with appropriate Special Education certification is required and must be current
  • Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
  • Knowledge of IEP development, assessment procedures, and case management best practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities across different sites
  • Commitment to providing inclusive education and supporting diverse learner needs
