This part-time opportunity involves working directly 1:1 with a student who has moderate to severe special needs. Qualifications:
- Valid California Special Education credential
- Experience or demonstrable skill working with students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families, staff, and related service providers
- Organized, adaptable, and patient approach
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instructional support to meet the unique needs of one student
- Develop, monitor, and adapt educational plans and accommodations in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with school staff, therapists, and family members
- Maintain accurate records on student progress
- Utilize creative, engaging strategies to encourage participation and learning
- Support social-emotional and behavioral growth in a supportive setting
