Youll play a pivotal role in helping learnersincluding those in Kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high schoolsthrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with students in a resource or inclusive classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction in core subjects, particularly Mathematics
- Effective communicator with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Adaptability in supporting a wide range of grades and learning styles
- Collaborative spirit and positive attitude towards problem-solving
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction grouped by grades (Pre-K, K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
- Develop, implement, and track IEP goals in partnership with stakeholders
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each student
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate actively with general educators and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings
- Engage families in the educational process
