Start making a difference immediately as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic, supportive school environment near Salem, OR. This full-time, onsite contract role runs through June 5, 2026, offering several opportunities to match your experience and passion. Multiple positions are available across elementary and middle school settings, including developmental and behavioral classrooms, as well as resource rooms.
Current Openings:
- Elementary Developmental Classrooms (2 positions): Work with 15 students alongside 6 dedicated assistants, focusing on behavioral, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and communication needs.
- Elementary Behavior (Grades 3-5): Guide 16 students with the support of 5 skilled assistants in a collaborative atmosphere.
- Middle School Resource: Serve 40 students with shared assistance, helping them reach their academic and personal growth goals.
- Elementary Resource (2 sites, close proximity): Provide services to 35 students at two nearby locations, supported by assistants at each site.
- Middle School Behavior: Support 15 students with 5 assistants, addressing behavioral needs in a structured, caring classroom.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Special Education (SPED) teaching certification/license in Oregon required.
- Prior experience in special education settings preferred.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with paraprofessional staff and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Coordinate classroom activities and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for students and staff.
