Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification, with eligibility in Florida
- Experience working with students in resource, self-contained, or inclusion settings
- Strong classroom management techniques with the ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, parents, and related service providers
- Familiarity with adapting curriculum and strategies to support diverse learners
- Commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure measurable student growth
- Modify general education curriculum to meet each students unique needs
- Deliver engaging lessons and utilize differentiated instructional methods
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare necessary reports
- Communicate student needs and progress with families and staff
- Advocate for supports, accommodations, and resources necessary for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional growth opportunities
