In this role, youll support a center-based Developmental Cognitive Disabilities/Autism Spectrum Disorder (DCD/ASD) classroom, guiding a small group of K2 students with high needs. Youll be part of a welcoming team, empowering students while strengthening your own skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
  • Preferred: ASD, DCD, ABS, or cross-categorical SPED licensure
  • Experience supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities
  • Proven ability to write IEPs, collect progress data, and implement individualized interventions
  • Strong classroom structure and behavioral support skills
  • Experience collaborating with related service teams and families
  • Preferred: Center-based autism classroom, AAC exposure, sensory regulation, functional skills instruction

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to K2 students in a small, center-based classroom
  • Implement individualized education plans, interventions, and data collection
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and functional support in collaboration with paraprofessionals
  • Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams
