The assignment will be at an elementary site focusing on a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom for grades 3-5. Join a structured, supportive team committed to academic and social-emotional success for each student.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required
- EBD licensure highly preferred
- Experience in center-based or high-needs behavioral settings
- Proficient in IEP development, BIP implementation, progress monitoring, and classroom interventions
- Excellent classroom management and de-escalation abilities
- Collaborative communication and teamwork skills
- Setting III, PBIS/CPI, trauma-informed practice experience (preferred)
- Experience with elementary behavioral caseloads (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains for a small caseload of students
- Collaborate with classroom support staff to ensure student growth and safety
- Develop and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans
- Employ evidence-based strategies to encourage student engagement and positive outcomes
- Maintain open communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
