An opportunity is available for a Special Education Director with a valid Special Education license or Administrator certification to provide leadership and expertise in Minnesota Special Education compliance. This full-time, contract-to-hire position supports the 2026-2027 school year and involves traveling to various school locations, offering a dynamic educational environment.
Key responsibilities include coordinating with consulting companies, maintaining strict adherence to state compliance standards, and assisting in training staff on specialized topics. A significant portion of the role requires managing extensive documentation and paperwork related to special education programs. The Director will also serve as a resource for teachers and collaborate closely with school administration to ensure consistent and effective special education practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education license or Administrator certification
- Master's degree required
- Deep knowledge of Minnesota Special Education compliance regulations
- Experience coordinating between consultants, teachers, and administration
- Strong organizational skills to handle high volumes of paperwork
- Ability to train and support educators in compliance and programming best practices
Location: Travel throughout schools in the Saint Paul, MN area
