Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity serving students with diverse learning needs in a supportive, collaborative environment. This full-time role runs from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027, and is based at a well-organized elementary school. Youll work in a cluster classroom setting, partnering closely with three paraprofessionals and providing tailored instruction for approximately ten students.

As a dedicated Special Education Teacher, you'll be instrumental in making a real difference for students with significant disabilities, including those with developmental cognitive or autism spectrum disorders. Your expertise and compassion will shape a learning space where every child can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher licensure for K-12 (Minnesota)
  • Experience working in center-based settings focused on DCD/ASD populations
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessional support staff
  • Strong understanding of IEP implementation and data collection
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and team members
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to on-site, in-person work only (No hybrid or virtual options)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction in a cluster/center-based classroom environment
  • Develop, adapt, and monitor IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
  • Oversee and provide guidance to three classroom paraprofessionals
  • Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning atmosphere
  • Implement evidence-based strategies for managing behaviors and supporting student growth
  • Maintain open communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
