Bring your passion for supporting young learners to a fulfilling contract role serving a K2 center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom. If you excel at creating nurturing environments and implementing effective strategies for students with significant behavioral needs, this opportunity offers a rewarding way to make a difference.
In this full-time position, youll work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, guiding a small group of approximately six elementary students in a high-support setting. Youll collaborate closely with fellow educators, building strong classroom structures and fostering meaningful relationships, all while developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current, active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
- EBD licensure highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with challenging behavioral needs
- Proficiency in creating IEPs and BIPs tailored to individual students
- Expertise in behavior intervention, de-escalation techniques, and classroom consultation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work in K2 center-based special education classrooms
- Familiarity with PBIS, CPI, or restorative practices
- Understanding of trauma-informed instruction
