Job Description

Make a lasting impact by supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding contract role. This onsite position focuses on serving learners with Emotional Behavior Disorders, ensuring every child receives the guidance and support they need to thrive academically and socially. Youll work collaboratively with fellow educators and support staff in an environment that values dedication, empathy, and innovation in special education.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required).
  • Experience working with middle school students, preferably in an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) setting.
  • Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and outside professionals.
  • Must submit MN Special Education Teacher Certification and resume to be considered.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction, accommodations, and modifications based on each student's IEP.
  • Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment conducive to learning and positive behavior.
  • Work closely with general education teachers to ensure student success across all settings.
  • Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and progress tracking.
  • Engage in professional development and participate in collaborative team meetings.

This is a full-time, contract opportunity beginning March 9, 2026, through June 5, 2026. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
