Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching license
- Emotional Impairment (EI) endorsement is a strong asset
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction tailored to each students unique learning needs and abilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure a comprehensive support system for each learner
- Create and maintain a structured, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Utilize effective strategies to manage classroom behaviors and provide social-emotional support
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
