Step into a rewarding contract opportunity guiding students in a supportive self-contained ESE classroom environment. This on-site position begins August 10, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students in the North West region of Jacksonville.
You will work a consistent 35-hour week (7 hours per day) at a single school locationprimarily serving elementary students, though efforts can be made to match your school level preference. The focus will be on meeting diverse needs across varying learning levels and exceptionalities, helping every child reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida ESE certification required
- K6 or PK3 General Education certification also required
- Previous experience teaching in a self-contained setting is essential
- Familiarity with Florida school district fingerprinting requirements (or willingness to complete if needed)
- Enthusiasm for supporting students with varied exceptionalities
- Ready to complete a time-sensitive credentialing process, including fingerprint clearance and JLA badge application
Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and adapt curriculum for students in a self-contained ESE classroom
- Develop individualized education plans and provide targeted support
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
Additional Details:
- You will be supported throughout credentialing, including prescreen interviews and eligibility checks
- Assignment is entirely onsite; virtual instruction is not offered for this role
