Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Michigan Special Education teaching certificate with Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement
• Prior experience in elementary special education highly valued
• Track record of creating engaging, individualized lesson plans
• Understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting
• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address unique student goals
• Employ a variety of classroom management techniques to maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies for optimal growth
• Maintain accurate and timely records for compliance and reporting

Schedule & Assignment Details:
