Qualifications:
- Active Missouri Special Education Teaching License required
- School-based experience strongly preferred; those excited to work in schools with students of varying abilities are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to supporting learners with diverse educational needs
- Open to both local and travel professionals
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Special Education Teacher at one dedicated school site (assignment to either a high school self-contained classroom or an elementary resource room)
- Deliver instruction, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and assess student progress
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families to provide an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
- Participate in team meetings and benefit from paid indirect time to support documentation and planning
- Maintain regular communication to foster community and ensure each student's needs are met
Position Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- School-year duration: August 20, 2026, through May 27, 2027
