Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching certification appropriate for the state
• In-depth knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Previous experience working with K-12 students with varying exceptionalities
• Familiarity with evidence-based classroom management and instruction strategies
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to new environments and willingness to integrate into an existing team
• Ability to track student progress and adapt plans as needed

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver specially tailored instruction to meet each students unique needs
• Conduct assessments, create IEPs, and participate in annual review meetings
• Utilize accommodations and modifications to support student learning
• Foster a classroom environment that values inclusion, safety, and respect
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Regularly communicate student progress to families and school teams
• Maintain documentation and compliance in accordance with district and state guidelines
