An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in an educational setting. This contract position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to student development and to collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Deliver specialized instruction and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of academic and behavioral performance.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in meetings, assessments, and professional development opportunities.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential or certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to create lesson plans that meet diverse academic and behavioral needs.
