Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting learners from early childhood through high school. This contract role offers the chance to work with diverse age groups (Pre-K, Kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school) and unlock each students academic potential, particularly in math and foundational subjects. Collaborate with a dedicated educational team to create dynamic, individualized learning experiences for students with unique needs.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in special education or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience working across various grade levels (Pre-K through 12th grade) is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies tailored for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Comfort teaching math concepts and supporting differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passionate about fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
• Adaptability in managing multiple tasks and adjusting teaching approaches.
• Background in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective lesson plans for students receiving special education services, adapting content for individualized learning needs.
• Support students in math and core content areas, ensuring growth in academic and social skills.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists to promote student success.
• Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Regularly assess student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for targeted intervention.
• Maintain open and positive communication with families regarding student milestones.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as part of a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
