What you'll bring:

• Current Texas Teaching Certification and Reading By Design Certification (required)
• For bilingual candidates: specialized training in both Esperanza and Reading By Design
• Proven classroom or intervention experience as a Special Education Teacher and/or Dyslexia Specialist
• Ability to manage varied caseloads and adapt lessons for different age groups and learning levels
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative approach to working with other educators and support staff

Core responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted reading interventions to students diagnosed with or at-risk for dyslexia, using Reading By Design and other structured literacy programs
• Assess individual student needs, developing custom learning plans to track and enhance progress
• Regularly communicate student outcomes and strategies with parents, teachers, and relevant stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance
• Provide ongoing support and resources to classroom teachers to promote literacy-rich classrooms
• Participate actively in staff development and intervention team meetings
