This contract role spans from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027, offering full-time, in-person opportunities for a passionate Special Education Teacher. Applicants will engage in approximately 33.25 hours per week, working directly with students and collaborating with colleagues to ensure everyones success.

There are two distinct positions available, each supporting unique student needs:

• Life Skills Self-Contained classroom
• Instructional/Resource classroom

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active Professional Educator License (PEL) required (please include a copy with your application)
• Previous experience in special education settings preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassion and patience necessary for encouraging student progress

What Youll Do:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student abilities
• Deliver instruction in either a life skills self-contained or instructional/resource classroom
• Collaborate with related service providers, families, and staff to monitor progress and update IEPs
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom climate
• Use data-driven strategies to adapt instruction and interventions
• Advocate for students to ensure their educational access and growth
