Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid New Mexico Special Education Teaching License (required)
  • Ability to work with elementary, middle, or high school students, depending on placement
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Experience developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Flexibility to adapt instructional methods based on student needs
  • Passion for advocacy, collaboration, and helping students realize their full potential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction individually or in small groups, addressing diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, families, and other professionals to ensure student success
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
  • Use data-driven assessment to track progress and adjust instruction as needed
