An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Roseville, MI, to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting. This contract position requires a compassionate educator committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students requiring specialized instructional strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students learning goals and abilities
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive support for students
- Providing direct instruction and intervention to students with disabilities in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation to report on developmental milestones and academic achievements
- Managing classroom behavior and creating a positive learning atmosphere conducive to student growth
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with varying disabilities, including emotional, cognitive, and physical challenges
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Familiarity with current special education laws, regulations, and best practices
