Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience teaching K-12, early childhood, or specialized in any grade level
- Comfortable adapting instruction for a variety of learning needs and ages
- Strong foundation in Math instruction across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Collaborative, communicative, and flexible approach to working with students, families, and colleagues
- Passion for advocating on behalf of students with disabilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for each student
- Modify and adapt classroom lessons to support a range of learning styles and ability levels
- Assess student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages growth and confidence
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student achievements and challenges
- Contribute to a culture of respect, understanding, and progress for all students
