Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Experience teaching Math and supporting students in Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Knowledgeable in individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and administrators
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Experience with early childhood and/or multiple grade levels is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver specialized instruction for students in Math and other subject areas as appropriate
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals for assigned caseload
- Adapt lessons to accommodate a wide range of learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and ongoing staff development
- Partner with families and support staff to promote student success inside and outside the classroom
