Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Compassionate and patient approach with students of varied abilities
- Proficiency in adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Administer and track progress on IEP goals, maintaining documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Employ differentiated instruction and behavioral management strategies
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom culture
- Communicate regularly with guardians and build positive relationships
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as scheduled
