This full-time position (40 hours per week) allows you to focus on one school per assignment, supporting students with diverse learning needs. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Texas DOE-issued Teaching Certificate in Special Education
- Experience working with students exhibiting Autism and/or severe behavioral challenges
- Completion of required fingerprinting process for Texas educators, or ability to do so promptly
- Passion for advocating on behalf of exceptional learners
- Effective communication, adaptability, and strong classroom management skills
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment tailored to each students abilities and needs
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and positive behavioral interventions
- Track student progress and maintain comprehensive records in compliance with state/district guidelines
- Serve as a trusted resource within your assigned school community
