A school in the Tampa area is seeking 14 skilled Special Education Teachers (ESE) to support K-12 students for the upcoming contract school year. This position offers an opportunity to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week over five days, in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs across grades K-12
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet each child's academic and behavioral goals
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates and coordinate support services
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida ESE teaching license required
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavioral support strategies
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
