Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with students in grades Pre-K through 12, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
- Proficiency in designing and adapting curriculum for individual learning needs, particularly in math
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to collaborate in creating, implementing, and tracking progress
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
- Creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching and behavioral management
- Prior contract or travel teaching experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated instruction in a variety of core subjects, with a focus on mathematics
- Modify existing curriculum and classroom activities to meet specific students needs
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive
- Monitor student progress, assess outcomes, and maintain detailed records in compliance with IEPs and district standards
