Job Description

This position is tailored for an educator who holds a gifted certification on their teaching license and has a passion for meeting the unique needs of gifted and talented students. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through June 4.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active teaching license with gifted certification required
  • Background in special education, especially with gifted and talented student populations
  • Experience working within IEP (Individualized Education Program) systems
  • Adaptability to travel between locations, as this is an itinerant role
  • Ability to meet standard credentialing requirements, such as background checks and fingerprints
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to support collaboration with staff and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and support for gifted and talented students in a middle/high school setting
  • Coordinate with school teams to develop and implement personalized IEPs
  • Monitor student progress, adapting strategies to optimize learning outcomes
  • Attend relevant meetings, ensuring compliance with district and board requirements
  • Collaborate regularly with educators, administrators, and families
  • Potentially serve multiple sites, with mileage reimbursement available for travel between them
