Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher by supporting students in an inclusion classroom setting. This contract opportunity runs from April 13, 2026, through June 5, 2026, with a strong potential to extend into the next school year. Youll work full-time with a manageable caseload of 21 high school students, championing their academic growth and personal development.

Your role will center on collaborative teaching, individualized instruction, and co-creating a positive, inclusive learning environment for 9th through 12th-grade students. Engage with a dedicated team and help shape the educational experience for students who benefit from your expertise and encouragement.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• Active NMPED teaching credential
• Proven experience or strong interest in supporting diverse learners in a high school inclusion setting
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering differentiated instruction

Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the unique needs of students with varying learning profiles
• Utilize best practices in special education and inclusion
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Develop and monitor IEPs, document student progress, and communicate with families
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
