Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement required
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting
  • Comfortable assisting with toileting and managing mild to moderate behavioral needs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
  • Ability to provide differentiated instruction and individualized support

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of up to 15 students in grades K-5, including direct instruction and progress monitoring
  • Partner with a co-teacher to ensure all students needs are addressed
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum accordingly
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Collaborate with general education staff, related services providers, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress
  • Address daily classroom tasks, including support with personal care and toileting as needed
