Job Description
A school in Parachute, CO is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students requiring individualized educational plans. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a caseload of approximately 25 students, with paraprofessional support available in each classroom to enhance student learning.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing tailored education plans that meet students' unique needs.
- Collaborating with paraprofessionals, other educators, and families to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with all applicable regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and special education needs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Position Details:
- Location: Parachute, CO 81635
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Student caseload: Approximately 25 students, supported by paraprofessionals
