Multiple positions at the early childhood, elementary, and middle school level are open, spanning diverse instructional settings including intensive support and hybrid supplemental models. Onsite assignments allow you to build strong relationships and foster growth in the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including multi-categorical and autism spectrum disorders
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Flexibility and commitment to nurturing all learners potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored for students with special needs
- Differentiate curriculum and instructional strategies to align with IEP goals
- Collaborate with instructional staff, therapists, and families to achieve student success
- Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment that promotes inclusion
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain compliance with school and district policies
Openings exist across several schools, each with unique support modelsfrom intensive to hybrid to supplemental. Assignments begin in August 2026 and conclude in June 2027. Following a successful interview, candidates will receive more details about specific site needs and caseloads. Both the Ridgeland area and other locations such as Hilton Head Island are hiring, offering a variety of settings to match your experience and interests.
