This full-time role is based in the Stafford, TX area and focuses on providing specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom environment for K-5th graders. Youll work closely with a small groupapproximately 10 studentseach with significant cognitive and adaptive needs, making a meaningful difference in their academic and personal growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Texas Special Education Teacher license is required
• Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in a special education setting
• Strong understanding of cognitive and adaptive disabilities
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to individualize instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction in a self-contained life skills classroom for K-5 students
• Implement IEP goals and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Promote independence and life skills development through hands-on activities
• Work closely with related service providers, aides, and other team members to foster student progress
• Maintain accurate records, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
