Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead teacher in either a 4th/5th grade elementary resource room or a high school ELA special education class, with approximately 20 students per classroom
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate student development and academic achievement
  • Adapt instructional strategies and curriculum to meet individualized student needs
  • Develop, monitor, and document progress toward IEP goals
  • Establish a supportive, structured classroom for learners at various ability levels
  • Work full-time on a contract basis for the school year, with one classroom assignment per teacher
