Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for Washington State
• Experience working with students with varying abilities and special needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Previous school-based experience is an asset, although not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students receiving special education services
• Create, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, support staff, and administrators
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic, social, and emotional growth
• Regularly assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Manage classroom behavior through positive, proactive approaches
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education
