This assignment is designed for a passionate educator with special education and general education expertise, ideally holding both certifications, to teach and support a homebound first-grade student with lower cognitive abilities and other health disabilities. Flexible part-time scheduling (about 10 hours per week with options for after-school sessions) makes it easy to tailor your work around your lifestyle and downtime explorations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license required
  • Special Education certification (any area)
  • General Education certification (Elementary level)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students with cognitive impairments and OHD (Other Health Disabilities)
  • Comfortable working with homebound learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both general and special education instruction to a 1st-grade student in a homebound setting
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and cognitive abilities
