Job Description

This contract opportunity involves working closely with a student who has a cognitive impairment and OHD disability and is unable to attend school in person due to health-related concerns. Key Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota teaching license
  • Certification in Special Education (any area)
  • Certification in Elementary General Education
  • Experience working with students with cognitive impairments or OHD disabilities preferred
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet individualized learning needs
  • Compassion, patience, and dedication to student growth

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction in both special education and elementary general education, either on-site or at a mutually agreed location
  • Work approximately 10 hours per week (up to 1 hour per day for each certification, with flexibility for after-school hours)
  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of a homebound student
  • Collaborate with parents, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes
  • Maintain thorough documentation and follow all program guidelines
