Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid state-issued Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility to obtain
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs for students with disabilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and support personnel
- Ability to foster an inclusive, engaging, and positive learning environment
- Adaptability, patience, and a commitment to empowering diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each students unique learning needs
- Assess student progress; collect data and modify interventions as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and parents to ensure effective support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences
- Advocate for students and contribute to a culture of inclusion and respect
