Make a meaningful impact supporting students with diverse learning needs as a Special Education Teacher for a school district near Redwood City, CA. What Were Looking For:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (state-issued or eligible for reciprocity)
- Experience instructing students in one or more of the following: Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, or High School grades
- Background in differentiated instruction, particularly in math
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, related service professionals, and families
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for supporting children of varying abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom with diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized lessons to students in grades Pre-K through 12, with an emphasis on math concepts
- Implement accommodations and modifications to meet IEP goals and learning styles
- Document progress and communicate candidly with families and staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that celebrates student growth and achievement
