Job Description

This dynamic contract opportunity involves working with students across a wide spectrum of grades, from early childhood and kindergarten through elementary, middle, and high school. Youll employ your expertise in differentiated instruction and understanding of various exceptionalities to foster student growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students from Pre-K through Grade 12
  • In-depth knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong skills in managing classroom behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
  • Solid background in adapting curriculum in areas such as Math and core academic subjects
  • Excellent communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to inclusive practices

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instructional plans that align with students IEP goals
  • Differentiate instruction for a wide range of grade levels and learning abilities
  • Monitor and document student progress, making timely instructional adjustments
  • Partner closely with colleagues to support the integration of students in general education settings
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
  • Create an encouraging classroom environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy
  • Implement adaptive technology and resources when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory standards
