A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 20262027 school year at a school district in Redford, MI. This onsite role offers a chance to positively impact students with diverse learning needs, focusing on both Early Childhood and High School special education classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly
- Collaborate closely with general education staff and families to promote student success
- Implement behavior and academic interventions as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching License with Special Education endorsement required
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or willingness to obtain and maintain certification annually
- Experience working with students with special needs is preferred
