Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Arizona Department of Education Standard K-12 Certification
- Valid fingerprint clearance card
- Previous experience teaching in special education settings (resource, behavior, or adaptive program experience a plus)
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods for students with varied needs
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Modify curriculum and instruction to align with student strengths and areas of need
- Use data-driven strategies to support student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff for student success
- Participate in professional development and new teacher orientation
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state regulations
