Job Description

Shape the future of special education by taking on a rewarding contract opportunity in a vibrant educational setting located near Red Rock, AZ. This onsite position offers five openings for skilled Special Education Teachers, each serving unique student populations across elementary and middle school levels for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Teachers will be placed in dedicated programs such as an elementary behavior program, middle school resource, middle and K-8 behavior programs, and an elementary adaptive program. You'll play a critical role in delivering individualized instruction, fostering positive learning environments, and making a meaningful impact in students academic and social development.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Valid Arizona Department of Education Special Education Certification
  • Active Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adaptability to work with varied caseloads, including behavioral and adaptive programs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with faculty, families, and support staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to student growth and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess effective instructional strategies for special education students
  • Monitor, document, and communicate student progress and behavioral data
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to ensure inclusive practices
  • Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, and required professional development
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
  • Create a supportive, structured environment that encourages student self-advocacy and achievement

This contract includes teacher days from July 20, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with services covering all student days. Standard hours will total 37.5 per week, and orientation for new teachers is included.
