Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license with special education certification required
  • Previous experience as a special education teacher, especially at the elementary level, preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to implement them
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction and classroom environment to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students with a range of learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals for each student in your caseload
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere
