Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Current valid teaching certification issued by NM SPED
- Proven understanding of subject matter and grade levels to be taught
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, students, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment
What Youll Do:
- Deliver engaging instructional support tailored to individual needs across assigned caseloads
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students, monitoring progress and adapting teaching methods
- Collaborate with general education teachers and administration to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain thorough records and documentation as required
- Communicate proactively with families, providing updates on student progress and collaboratively solving challenges
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and mentorship programs
