Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
  • Current valid teaching certification issued by NM SPED
  • Proven understanding of subject matter and grade levels to be taught
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, students, and staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver engaging instructional support tailored to individual needs across assigned caseloads
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students, monitoring progress and adapting teaching methods
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and administration to create a positive learning environment
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation as required
  • Communicate proactively with families, providing updates on student progress and collaboratively solving challenges
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and mentorship programs
