Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Prior experience working with a spectrum of grade levels (Pre-K to 12th grade) encouraged
- Background in delivering differentiated instruction and tailored lesson planning
- Expertise supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Strong communication skillsboth written and verbal
- Ability to create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
What Youll Be Doing:
- Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for students at various grade levels
- Deliver instruction using evidence-based strategies, emphasizing both academic and life skills
- Modify curriculum to support student needs in core subjectsincluding math
- Regularly assess, track, and communicate student progress to parents, guardians, and colleagues
- Foster a positive, supportive learning setting where every student can thrive
- Work closely with general education staff to ensure continuity and inclusivity
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and state guidelines
