Key qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education License (required)
  • Experience working with K-12 students, ideally across varied instructional settings and classroom types
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
  • Organizational skills to balance documentation, planning, and team collaboration

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized academic and behavioral instruction to students with a range of disabilities
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs
  • Foster an engaging and supportive classroom environment tailored to each students unique needs
  • Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Maintain effective communication with families and school personnel to support student growth and well-being
